Pre-Enrolment Medical Check-up
As part of the onboarding process for new students, you are required to complete a medical check-up before the start of your academic programme.
Students can complete the medical check-up at:
- selected Raffles Medical clinics in Singapore *
- selected Fullerton Health clinics in Singapore *
- the campus clinic “Raffles Medical @ NTU” will operate the NTU Campus clinic from 1st January 2026
- the campus clinic “Fullerton Health @ NTU”, University Health Service Building till 31 December 2025 or
- any registered physician in Singapore

All students will need to complete the Medical Check-up Form (MC1 Form) and bring it along with you for your medical check-up appointment. You may refer to the MC1 Form Guide on how to complete your medical history.
If you have your medical check-up at a clinic other than Fullerton Health or Raffles Medical, submit your documents (medical report, MC1 form, etc.) through the endorsement portal. A fee of $16.35 (including GST) applies.

Unless you hear from us to the contrary, you may assume that your medical report is in order.
Students who intend to complete the medical check-up at Raffles Medical @ NTU or Fullerton Health @ NTU or other selected Raffles Medical Clinics or Fullerton Health Clinics in Singapore*.
Female students who are expecting their menstrual period to coincide with the medical check-up, please complete your medical check-up after the last day of your period. This is to avoid having to come back a second time to complete the urine test, as an ongoing or recent period will interfere with the results of the urine test.
Students enrolling into the Biological Sciences related programmes+ are required to take the Hepatitis B screening blood test in addition to the standard medical check-up and MC1B form must be completed for the Hepatitis B screening blood test.
For students enrolling into the Medicine (MED) or Chinese Medicine (CMED) programme, you are required to complete the requirements indicated in both forms below:-
- Medical Check-Up Form (MC1 form) - inclusive of chest x-ray, blood tests, and urine tests
- Immunisation and Additional Screening Form - Immunisation and Additional Screening for MED and CMED students
Special medical conditions to note:
Hepatitis B - Students with this condition are not eligible for the Chinese Medicine programme from the School of Biological Sciences.
Partial Colour Blindness - Students are eligible for engineering programmes only when they are able to correctly identify red and green wires. Students are, however, not eligible for the Chinese Medicine programme when they are colour blind, whether complete or partial, and regardless of whether they can correctly identify red and green.

Mandatory Medical Check-up for Student's Pass
The Singapore Immigration and Checkpoints Authority (ICA) requires all international students to undergo a medical check-up, including an HIV test and a chest X-ray for Tuberculosis clearance, as part of the Student's Pass application process.
International students may now complete the required medical check-up at any licensed medical clinic in their home country from June 2026 onwards, not earlier. Alternatively, they can complete at Raffles Medical @ NTU or selected Raffles Medical Clinics Overseas or in Singapore*.

Special note: All international students should upload the Medical Examination Report to the Singapore Immigrations & Checkpoint Authority portal in their home country for early approval of student pass application.
Medical Check-up comprises of:
If you are doing your medical check-up at a non-Raffles Medical group clinic, the test results done (translated in English) of MC1 Form must then be endorsed by Raffles Medical @ NTU for a nominal fee to activate your student medical insurance. This endorsement must be completed before the start of your university study. Raffles Medical @ NTU may charge for additional tests if the reports provided by the licensed medical clinic does not meet the requirements (for instance X-Ray image did not carry a label bearing the full name of the student or X ray film is unclear).
Medical check-up period at Raffles Medical @ NTU is from 1 July 2026 onwards. You will receive an email from Raffles Medical from May 2026.
Medical Check-up in Home Country (Important Details)
Upload the completed Medical Examination Report to the ICA portal for early approval before traveling to Singapore. Ensure the medical report was issued within the last three months for it to be valid with ICA i.e from June 2026 onwards only. Medical Examination Report uploaded at ICA website before June 2026 will NOT be accepted. If the report is not in English, provide a certified English translation.
Medical Check-up at Raffles Medical @ NTU (Singapore)
Students who prefer to complete their medical check-up in Singapore can visit the selected Raffles Medical Clinics.

Following the initial medical exam, additional vaccinations and blood tests may be recommended by the doctors at Raffles Medical @ NTU. These should be carried out and subsequently completed at Raffles Medical @ NTU.
