The NTU–SYSU Winter Prelude was a truly eye-opening experience. Beyond academic exposure, I gained cultural insights, global perspectives, and meaningful friendships. The immersive learning and industry visits pushed me out of my comfort zone and inspired me to pursue more overseas experiences during my NTU journey.
Huang Yihua, Electrical & Electronic Engineering, Year 1The LIP program at LICMU not only gave me the opportunity to learn Thai, but also allowed me to use the basic language skills I acquired to connect with locals and build lasting friendships with our Thai buddies. Although the program lasted only three weeks, I was able to fully immerse myself in the richness of Thai culture. Overall, the trip was truly fun, meaningful, and unforgettable.
Lee Wan Qi, Biological Science, Year 3My exchange at the University of Technology Sydney was a time of peace, self-discovery and truly stepping out of my comfort zone. Thanks to NTU’s GEM Explorer programme, I was able to secure this opportunity and experience what became an important chapter of my university life. I had the privilege of travelling to Tasmania, Port Stephens and New Zealand, making new friends from around the world who broadened my perspective and challenged the way I see things. As someone who loves the beach, I cherished being so close to the ocean, and even got to try surfing for the first time, a small but powerful reminder of how much I’d grown.
