President’s Message
For hundreds of years, the most prestigious universities were centuries old. But the world has changed. Age no longer determines the excellence of an institution. In fact, the most successful companies of today – the Magnificent Seven* – are no more than half a century old.
Nanyang Technological University, Singapore (NTU Singapore) is similarly less than half a century old. As a premier technological university, we develop leaders and create societal impact through education, research, and service.
This is who we are:
We are problem solvers. We draw talent from East and West and break down walls between disciplines. We shape the future by combining technology and human creativity. Driven by a startup mentality, we are both agile and inventive. We take pride in tackling the toughest challenges in our society.
We are NTU Singapore, a technological university rooted in Asia, improving lives across the world.
Our vision for the next five years (2026–2030) comprises four pillars.
Each person at NTU, regardless of our role, plays a part in shaping the University’s success. We excel by working collaboratively, with a larger mission in mind. This pursuit of operational excellence is part of NTU’s DNA.
