Provost Graduate Award
The Provost Graduate Award (PGA) is a distinguished award presented by the NTU Provost to PhD students demonstrating outstanding academic achievements and research potential in their field of study.
- All nationalities are eligible for the scholarship.
- An Honours (Highest Distinction) or equivalent at Bachelor's level.
- Candidates who have not yet completed their undergraduate degree must provide official documentation from their university confirming they are on track to graduate with an Honours (Highest Distinction) degree or equivalent.
There is no bond attached to the scholarship.
- The award is tenable for one year in the first instance and is renewable subject to good progress. The maximum period of the Award covers 4 years of the PhD candidature.

1Central Provident Fund (CPF) contributions shall be provided at a rate pegged to the prevailing employer's contribution rate set by CPF, on top of the monthly stipend received.
2International Students must perform teaching/ laboratory supervision duties to fulfil the requirements of the Graduate Assistantship Programme (GAP). Singaporeans and Singapore Permanent Residents may perform GAP at the discretion of the schools.
- This award also covers the annual tuition fee.
- Scholarship coverage and award terms are subject to change. The university reserves the right to vary the amount of the Award stipend at any time.

New students to take note:
- Please update your Singapore bank account details in student intranet (GSLink) before 15th of the semester commencement month (January or August) to avoid delays in stipend payment.
Academic Year 2026-2027
This award is by nomination only. Shortlisted candidates will be invited for an interview and be evaluated by the University as part of the selection process.
