INSTEP LPDP-NTU Master’s Scholarship

• Indonesian citizens (warga negara Indonesia).
• Applicants must be shortlisted by LPDP.
• Applicants must meet the general admission requirements for the Master’s programme. Please refer to the respective programmes for any additional requirements.
• Existing final year undergraduates may apply for admission with a provisional degree certificate and/or yearly examination results to date.
• For applicants whose native language is not English, the TOEFL/IELTS score is to be submitted with the application for admission (test dates must be within 2 years or less from the date of application).
• Applications without TOEFL/IELTS will still be eligible to apply, but they may be subjected to an interview/test if deemed necessary by the School.

Applicants must submit their applications to NTU and LPDP separately, along with all required documentation, through the respective application portals:

• Master’s by Coursework
• Master’s by Research (STEM)
• LPDP E-Beasiswa

Applicants are required to register an account on both the NTU and LPDP portals, and ensure that all necessary documents are submitted. More information regarding LPDP procedure can be found here.

Successful candidates will be shortlisted and selected by LPDP and NTU during the application processes and will be notified of the outcome through the respective channels. LPDP will assess the scholarship eligibility while NTU will assess the academic eligibility.

There are 3 main methods of applying for the INSTEP scheme:

1. Apply to NTU first à apply to LPDP with a Letter of Acceptance/Offer
2. Apply to LPDP first à apply to NTU without a Letter of Acceptance/Offer
3. Apply to both NTU and LPDP in parallel (without a Letter of Acceptance/Offer)

Applicants who have received an offer from NTU but are pending outcome from LPDP or are only applying to LPDP in the next application window are to inform the offering School and/or the Office of Admissions and/or INSTEP.

• The maximum duration of scholarship award is one (1) year for Master’s by Coursework and two (2) years for Master’s by Research (STEM).

After completing NTU Master’s Programme, INSTEP scholarship awardees are expected to return and contribute to Indonesia, in accordance with the provisions as set by LPDP.
