NTU Student Insurance Policies

Notice

We are pleased to share that Raffles Medical Group (RMG) will officially take over as NTU’s campus healthcare provider from 1 January 2026. Also starting from 1 January 2026, AIA will provide the Group Outpatient Clinical Insurance coverage for NTU students.

All existing medical records will be automatically transferred to RMG, and no action is required from you. Do note that specialist psychiatric services continue to be available at RMG's on-campus clinic on a reimbursement basis under the AIA insurance plan. Students may refer to this link for an overview of the changes to NTU's Outpatient Mental Helth Coverage.

AIA continues to be the insurer for NTU's student Group Personal Accident (GPA) and Group Hospital and Surgical (GHS) Insurance.

For more information, please visit the NTU Health and Safety website.

New students will receive a welcome email from AIA ([email protected] - this is not a scam email) with instructions to set up their accounts.  Should students unable to set up the account by the stipulated deadline, they can refer to the AIA+ User Guide under account set up for assistance.

All FULL-TIME NTU matriculated Undergraduate, Graduate and Non-graduating students are required to be insured under the university’s insurance schemes. The schemes ensure students are covered with basic medical and personal accident insurance coverage.

The insurance premiums are incorporated within the Health Services Fee that is part of the miscellaneous fee payable to NTU. The insurance coverage commences upon start of the academic year.

The insurance coverage will discontinue under any of the following conditions:

•   Leave of Absence (LOA).
•   Overseas Study Leave (OSL).
•   Withdrawal/Termination from course.
•   Completion of studies:
-          Upon being conferred (for Undergraduate and Graduate students).
-          Upon completion of the exchange programme.
•    Apply to opt out (for eligible group of students and schemes).
•    Outstanding fees (Health Services Fee inclusive).
•    Secure employment, surrender Student's Pass and leave the university

Advisory from Office of Health and Safety:

  • Please file a report for any incidents or accidents occurring on campus, in lab, or offices, as well as those happening during fieldwork, research, internships or injuries sustained from University-sanctioned sports activities.
