Learning Objectives
At the end of the programme, learners will be able to:
- Design and implement strategies for data classification, protection, and encryption.
- Develop and test comprehensive backup, recovery, and disaster recovery plans.
- Understand the principles of cyber resiliency and how to build resilient systems.
Outline
This course transforms how learners approach enterprise cybersecurity—bridging theory and practice through real‑world architecture scenarios and hands‑on exposure to industry‑leading frameworks such as NIST CSF, CIS Controls, MITRE ATT&CK, and CSA CCM, empowering them to confidently design, defend, and deliver enterprise‑grade security architectures that reduce risk while enabling business growth.
Learners will gain practical insight into how leading organisations design security‑by‑design architectures across networks, endpoints, cloud, and identity systems, while aligning governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) with overall business strategy.
This course equips learners with the skills to design and defend modern web and mobile applications against real-world threats, utilizing industry-recognized standards such as the OWASP Top 10.
This course focuses on aligning IT strategies, tactics, and programs with overarching business goals, risk management protocols, and regulatory adherence. Recognizing that Governance, Risk Management, and Compliance (GRC) are foundational to a robust cybersecurity strategy, the curriculum integrates these three elements to drive business objectives:
- Translate technical risks into clear business strategies
- Develop risk assessment strategies that are practical and impactful and aligned to frameworks like NIST CSF 2.0
- Build effective compliance programs to align with the corporation and Singapore’s regulatory requirements.
By mastering GRC principles, professionals serve as a vital link between technical teams and organizational leadership, facilitating the transition from managing technology to securing the business enterprise.
The capstone project provides learners with the opportunity to apply knowledge from all six modules in a realistic, end-to-end cybersecurity scenario. Working individually or in teams, participants will design and implement solutions that integrate SOC operations, identity and access management, secure application practices, data resiliency, and governance/compliance frameworks.
The project requires learners to analyze a complex cyber challenge, propose a defense architecture, and deliver a portfolio-ready report and presentation. After completion, learners demonstrate not only technical proficiency but also the ability to synthesize strategy, tools, and compliance into a holistic solution, proving their readiness for mid-level cybersecurity roles in Singapore’s digital economy.
