Research Interests
ICT- enabled Chinese Language teaching, intelligent feedback and assessment systems, the use of generative AI in instructional design, and the development of blended and data-informed learning approaches.
Mr Liu Peng specialises in Chinese Language pedagogy, with particular interests in the integration of Information and Communications Technology (ICT) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) in language education. Prior to joining the National Institute of Education, he served in primary education for many years, holding leadership roles across different schools as Head of the Mother Tongue Department and Head of the ICT Department.
In these roles, he was responsible for curriculum design, language assessment, teacher professional learning, and the strategic integration of technology into teaching and learning. Through his work at both classroom and school leadership levels, he has developed extensive experience in bridging pedagogical theory with scalable, practice-oriented innovations.
