The web presentation aims to provide users with a one-stop easy and holistic view on the world major currencies history. Three eras - the gold standard era, the Bretton Woods system era, and the post-Bretton Woods system era - as well as the pound and the dollar dominance throughout are analysed.

Also, major events leading to the rise and fall of major currencies are specified. The presentation ends with a highlight on the most recently arised major currency – Renminbi (RMB) – and its inclusion in the Special Drawing Right basket by the International Monetary Fund, a milestone for the path of RMB Internationalisation. Essentially, the goal of this web presentation is to provide a convenient way for the public to learn about world major currencies history.
