Programme Structure and Duration

Students pursuing the Bachelor of Business (BBus) with Honours degree may choose between two degree programmes: BBus (Single Major) or BBus (Double Major).

The BBus (Single Major) lets you take one of the seven available Majors provided by Nanyang Business School, with the option to pursue a Second Major from another school within Nanyang Technological University.

The BBus (Double Major) lets you pursue two of those seven majors, with a choice of ten curated combinations.

Read on to find out more about the BBus’s overall programme structure, and a breakdown of the Single Major and Double Major options available.

Overall Programme Structure

BBus students must complete a total of 128 Academic Units, or AUs (for Single Majors) or 137 AUs (for Double Majors) within the normal candidature of four years.

The breakdown below shows how these parts come together to form a single, flexible, career-focused academic journey.

BBus Overall Programme Structure

*Finance Majors’ Major Core and Major Prescribed Electives add up to 22 AUs, one more than other BBus (Single Major) choices - as a result, the AU count for BBus (Single Major) in Finance and BBus (Double Major) with a Finance component amount to 129 and 138 AUs respectively.

Students in the BBus programmes will read mandatory foundational courses designed to build essential competencies across various critical areas. These core curriculum modules fall under two distinct types:
