Frequently Asked Questions
The current Bachelor of Business (BBus) programme is a three-year programme. Students take between 102 to 111 academic Units (AU) to complete this programme. The revised BBus programme is a four-year programme that offers two options: Double Major (137 AU) or Single Major (128 AU).
From the AY2026/2027 intake onwards, students can choose to read either the BBus (Double Major) or the BBus (Single Major) upon admission.
For students in the BBus (Double Major) degree programme, 10 curated combinations of Double Majors offered by NBS provide opportunities to deepen knowledge across two complementary business disciplines.
Those enrolled in the BBus (Single Major) programme can opt to take a Second Major, with curated Second Major combinations selected from the areas of Economics, Psychology, Strategic Communication*, Sustainability, and Entrepreneurship.
Under the revised curriculum, students will be reading “majors” instead of “specialisations”. For both the BBus (Double Major) and BBus (Single Major) degree programmes, the chosen Major(s) will be reflected in the degree scroll. Key enhancements to the four-year BBus (Single Major or Double Major) programmes include:
- Stronger tech focus in the curriculum to develop tech fluency
- Career readiness is enhanced through revised career and communication courses, expanded opportunities for credit-bearing internships, and greater flexibility to pursue global exposure
- Increased focus on interdisciplinary training where students can choose between a Double Major, or a Single Major with a Second Major, and/or choose from over 40 minors across NTU including two new thematic minors offered by NBS – Minor in Business Technology and Minor in Corporate Sustainability.
- Greater flexibility to support customized learning pathways and meet career aspirations
The enhanced four-year curriculum positions NBS as the go-to business school for students seeking both technological depth and interdisciplinary breadth and reflects our commitment to nurturing agile, tech-savvy, and globally minded business leaders.

Students who graduate from Double Degree in Accountancy and Business (ACBS) will receive two degrees (Bachelor of Accountancy and Bachelor of Business). The ACBS double degree programme supports a faster track to accreditation as a certified accountant, whereas the Double Major single degree enables exposure to accounting modules.
The Four-Year BBus (Double Major) is a single business degree with two Majors. The academic unit requirements for the single degree are lower than that for the double degree.

However, it is designed to complement the other Majors (e.g., Finance) by equipping students with relevant accounting expertise that enhances their effectiveness in finance-related roles and boosts their overall employability. From AY2026/2027 intake onwards, the Four-Year BBus (Single Major or Double Major) will be the default single business degree option offered to incoming single degree business students.
The minimum candidature for the revised Four-Year BBus (Single Major or Double Major) is 3.5 years. Students are encouraged to follow the default four-year candidature. This allows them to fully benefit from the holistic learning experience – academically, professionally, and personally – including opportunities for internships, overseas exposure, and co-curricular development. Over-compacting the programme may limit these valuable experiences that contribute to long-term career success and personal growth.
The annual tuition fees are fixed at the year of entry (e.g., AY2026/2027) for the duration of the degree programme, unless otherwise revised by MOE.
Students in the Bachelor of Business who matriculated in AY2025 will be given the option to switch into the four-year BBus (Single Major or Double Major) programmes. Should they decide to switch into a Four-Year BBus programme, the annual tuition fees will remain the same as that listed for their Three-Year Bachelor of Business programme.
Students who have successfully switched to the Four-Year BBus programme must complete the programme within eight semesters, including the two semesters they studied under the Three-Year Bachelor of Business. Students who extend their candidature will have to pay the unsubsidised fee.
