Abstract: This case presents the students with financial data for eight unidentified entities, listed on the Singapore Exchange (SGX). It challenges students to match the entity descriptions with their corresponding financial ratios and common-size financial statements. The eight entities represent a diverse set of industries, business models, and financial characteristics. Each entity description provides qualitative insights into its operations, growth strategies, and competitive dynamics.  Different economics and firm strategies lead to different financial characteristics reflected on financial statements. The objective is for readers to use their financial analysis skill to craft and decipher the financial story of a company at a particular point in time and for a particular time-period. Students infer the appropriate financial profile for each entity based on their understanding of financial ratios, accounting fundamentals, and industry norms.
