Doctoral Symposium at HKBU (Mar 9-13, 2026) - Call for Papers

The School is pleased to invite submissions from SSS PhD students for the International Doctoral Symposium titled “Global Perspectives on Social Problems, Policy and Practice.”

Please submit your abstract (between 300 to 500 words in word document) to the School’s Graduate Education Office by 19 December 2025. All abstracts will be evaluated and ranked based on (1) quality of submission and (2) fit with the symposium theme.

The host university will cover an Economy Class return air ticket (Singapore - Hong Kong) and six nights of accommodation in a twin-sharing room for two students. Four PhD students will be nominated, and they will be notified by our office.
