3-Minute Thesis (3MT) Symposium Heats 2026@SSS
3MT is an annual event that allows students to present their research in three minutes using one slide, in a language suitable for a non-specialist audience. It is also mandatory for PhD students from the 2019 cohort onwards as part of their graduation requirements. PhD students who have completed their Qualifying Examination (QE) are eligible to do 3MT. 

3MT-HEATS 2026@SSS is confirmed to be held on Tuesday, 14 April 2026 at 2pm via Zoom. Students are strongly encouraged to attend the online event to enrich your knowledge and to show support for your fellow schoolmates. A finalist and a runner-up will be seleced based on the highest scores from our judging panel (comprising our graduate faculty coordinators from each subject). The finalist will then be nominated to participate in NTU’s 3MT Finals, scheduled for July 2026.
