Desmond Kon W

Mr Desmond Kon

Senior Lecturer Desmond Kon is the author of nineteen books, spanning fiction, poetry, nonfiction, and experimental writing. A former journalist, he has also edited over twenty-five books. He is the recipient of the IBPA Benjamin Franklin Award, Singapore Literature Prize, Poetry World Cup, Nautilus Book Award, two National Indie Excellence Awards, three Illumination Christian Book Awards, three Independent Publisher Book Awards, five Living Now Book Awards, and eight Catholic Media Association Book Awards. This Harvard and Notre Dame alumnus has taught writing for over two decades.

Ivy Chan

Dr Ivy Chan

Ivy Chan, Lecturer in NTU's Language and Communication Centre, is an applied linguist and a communication specialist. She has curated curriculum and taught professional communication modules to Public Policy students at the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy (NUS) and Business students at ESSEC Business School. Ivy’s research area focuses on English language learning for marginalised communities. Her PhD dissertation explored ways to support refugees’ English language learning by using a Funds of Knowledge approach. 

Pooja Nansi

Ms Pooja Nansi

Pooja Nansi is an award-winning poet and educator shaping Singapore’s literary and cultural landscape. She is the author of three poetry collections and a recipient of the Young Artist Award (2016). She was also Singapore’s inaugural Youth Poet Ambassador. Her performance work includes You Are Here (Wild Rice) and Thick Beats for Good Girls (Checkpoint Theatre). As the first woman and youngest Festival Director of the Singapore Writers Festival (2019–2023), she redefined its inclusivity and reach. In 2024, she was awarded the Chevalier dans l’Ordre des Arts et des Lettres, one of France’s top cultural honors.

 

Jason Lundberg W

Mr Jason Lundberg

Jason Erik Lundberg is the author and anthologist of thirty books, including A Fickle and Restless Weapon, Fish Eats Lion Redux, Most Excellent and Lamentable, Diary of One Who Disappeared, the bestselling Bo Bo and Cha Cha picture book series, and the award-winning biennial Best New Singaporean Short Stories anthology series. He served as the fiction editor at Epigram Books for nearly twelve years, where the books he edited won multiple awards and made various year’s best lists. He currently lectures on contemporary publishing, editorial theory & practice, and creative writing.

Yeo Wei Wei W

Dr Yeo Wei Wei

Yeo Wei Wei is a writer and translator. She holds a PhD in English (University of Cambridge) and an MA in Prose Fiction Creative Writing (University of East Anglia). Her short stories and translations have appeared in anthologies and journals, including the Best New Singaporean Short Stories anthology, Brooklyn Rail, Mascara Literary Review, and QLRS. She is the author of These Foolish Things & other stories. In 2023 she published two critically acclaimed collections of translations, transcreations and adaptations of Soon Ailing’s short stories, Diasporic and Clan. Her transcreation of Royston Tan’s film 4:30, published in 2008, has just been released as an audiobook on Spotify.

Shelly Bryant W

Ms Shelly Bryant

Shelly Bryant is an award-winning literary translator, author, and cultural strategist. She has translated over 100 works from Chinese to English and is a leading voice on publishing and cross-cultural storytelling. Her writing has appeared in international journals, and she frequently speaks at global literary festivals and corporate events. Shelly is the founder of TL Global Insights, where she helps creatives and businesses navigate language, culture, and strategy in complex markets.

Kelvin Kao W

Mr Kelvin Kao

Kelvin Kao is the CEO of PROTOCOL, a creative agency listed amongst Marketing Magazine’s Creative Agency of the Year in 2025. Under his leadership, the company  has done award-winning work for brands such as luckin, Meiji, Starhub, the Singapore Art Museum, Canon, Club Med, Mandai, among others. Aside from his adjunct lecturer duties at NTU, Kelvin also pens a regular column on workplace issues for Asia’s leading news site Channel News Asia.
