Students may opt for one of the following streams from Year 2 onwards. Eligible students will be invited to participate in the Streaming Exercise via email.
Application period: End May (After release of exam result for Year 1 Semester 2)
Students who did not opt for any streams will remain in the Mainstream. Students can choose to major in any of the specialisations listed below starting from Year 3 onwards.

Intelligent Design and Manufacturing Stream*New Stream from AY2026-27 onwards
Students may opt for a degree programme with an in-depth specialisation in Intelligent Design and Manufacturing Stream. Applicable to students admitted from AY2025-26 onwards.
Intelligent Design and Manufacturing Stream (IDMS) integrates the existing Design and Intelligent Manufacturing streams to modernise and future-proof the curriculum in response to Industry 4.0 and digital transformation.
It emphasises generative and human-centred design, data-driven and AI-enabled manufacturing, cyber-physical systems, IIoT, digital twins, cobots, predictive maintenance, and intelligent product lifecycle management.
It also aims to enhance industry relevance and graduate employability by producing interdisciplinary, digitally proficient engineers ready for smart manufacturing and advanced product development roles.
Design Stream
Intelligent Manufacturing Stream
From AY2026–27 onwards, the Design Stream and Intelligent Manufacturing Stream will be consolidated into a single stream: Intelligent Design and Manufacturing Stream, offering a more integrated and future-ready curriculum.

Students admitted under the Design Stream or Intelligent Manufacturing Stream prior to AY2026–27 will continue to read and complete the courses offered under their respective streams until graduation.
Robotics and Mechatronics Stream
From AY2025–26 onwards, the Robotics and Mechatronics Stream will be integrated into a multisciplinary programme with future-forward pedagogy and are offered as a full-fledged degree programme, the Bachelor of Engineering in Robotics.

Students admitted under the Robotics and Mechatronics Stream prior to AY2026–27 will continue to read and complete the courses offered under this stream until graduation.
