NTU I&E invites experienced professionals, founders and ecosystem partners to contribute their expertise to our programmes and initiatives. By connecting industry insights with research and venture creation, we aim to accelerate the translation of ideas into impactful technologies and startups, and strengthen collaboration with international partners.
If you are passionate about supporting startups and founders on their entrepreneurial journey and bringing innovative technologies to market, we welcome you to express your interest in collaborating with us.
Applications will be reviewed by the programme team, and suitable candidates may be contacted when relevant opportunities arise.
About our programmes
NTU I&E delivers a range of initiatives that support:
- Venture creation and startup development
- Commercialisation of research and technologies
- Entrepreneurship education and training
- Industry engagement and ecosystem building
These programmes bring together researchers, students, founders, investors and industry partners to explore, validate, and scale innovative solutions across a wide range of sectors.
External experts play an important role in supporting these programmes by sharing their knowledge, experience, and networks.
We welcome expressions of interest from individuals who wish to contribute in one or more of the following roles.
Mentors Work closely with programme teams to provide practical guidance on venture development, customer discovery, product positioning, market entry, and team strategy. |
Instructors Facilitate applied learning sessions and guide participants through venture building or commercialisation frameworks. Guide structured interactions, monitor team progress, and provide coaching to support execution and learning outcomes across the programme. |
Speakers Deliver talks, lectures, fireside chats, or panel discussions that provide industry insights, entrepreneurial experiences, and domain expertise to programme participants. |
Evaluators Participate in structured review processes such as selection panels, demo day judging panels, or proposal evaluation committees. Assess ventures or proposals against defined criteria and provide constructive feedback. |
Consultants Provide specialised expertise in defined technical, commercial, legal, regulatory, or operational domains. May be required to deliver specific outputs, such as market or technical assessments, commercialisation strategies, IP or regulatory advisory, and venture structuring or go-to-market planning. |
Other Contributors We also engage experts for specialised roles such as technical advisors, industry reviewers, or workshop facilitators depending on programme needs. |
Experts may come from industry, startups, investment firms, academia, government agencies, or innovation organisations. Individuals should have several years of relevant professional experience and a strong interest in supporting entrepreneurs and innovators.
We welcome expressions of interest from individuals with experience in areas such as:
- Startup founding or venture building
- Venture capital or angel investing
- Corporate innovation and strategy
- Technology commercialisation and transfer
- Industry leadership of domain expertise
- Product development and go-to-market strategy
- Research translation and applied innovation
Our programmes span a wide range of technology and industry domains, including but not limited to:

External experts may be invited to contribute to specific programmes or activities depending on programme needs and the expert’s background.
Engagements may include:
- Mentoring startup teams
- Delivering workshops or talks
- Serving on evaluation or judging panels
- Advising on venture development or technology commercialisation
Most engagements are short-term or programme-based.
Selected experts may be engaged on a contract-for-services basis, subject to programme requirements and NTU policies.
