Dr Ramprakash serves as Programme Director at the Energy Research Institute @ NTU, where he leads technology translation efforts under the Energy Centre of Innovation. He is also the Director of the TCS-NTU GoZero Hub, a joint Centre of Excellence with TATA Consultancy Services (TCS) to offer NetZero tech solutions & advisory across the ASEAN region.  His present work is centred on co-creating a Smart and Regional Grid of the Future, driving innovation that bridges advanced research and real-world deployment.

Dr Ram focuses on the productization of deep-tech innovations in the climate-tech domain, enhancing the adoption and deployment resiliency of emerging solutions. His efforts align closely with Singapore’s national energy transition targets while addressing broader global industry challenges. Passionate about scaling transformative technologies, he actively orchestrates multidisciplinary innovation, bringing together researchers, corporates, start-ups, and government stakeholders to accelerate early-stage ventures from concept to commercialization.

With strong foundations in power and energy systems, embodied with business acumen (both by way of education & practice), he combines technical depth with market insight. Over the years, he has led the development of integrated solutions spanning power electronics, energy systems, AIoT platforms, and digitized SaaS offerings for the evolving energy economy. He currently oversees multiple R&D initiatives funded by industry partners and government agencies.
Dr Ramprakash holds a PhD in Electrical Engineering (Power & Energy Systems) and an MSc in Microelectronics from the National University of Singapore, and an MBA in Product Innovation Management from Cardiff School of Management. With over 15 years of experience working alongside research institutions, start-up environments, SMEs & MNCs, he is a seasoned cleantech generalist dedicated to architecting ventures, building techno-commercial capabilities, and fostering impactful global partnerships.
