| 5 | Bachelor's degree (and Master's, if any) graduation certificates -Applicants who are presently completing their degree at the time of application for admission must submit a certificate of enrolment with the expected graduation period. -At the time of enrolment in July, selected candidates who were enrolled in another programme when they applied shall submit an official letter from their university certifying that they have completed their programme, including all coursework and thesis (if applicable), or otherwise, proof of withdrawal from their programme. If this requirement is not met, the admission offer is considered withdrawn. |

| 7 | Two academic references that provide insight into the applicant’s academic capabilities and character. -Before you apply online and provide the names and email addresses of your referees, ensure that nominated referees have already agreed to provide referee reports, as they will be contacted by the University to provide their reports online. -Provide your referees' official institutional email addresses and not personal email addresses. -Upon submission of the referees’ details, it will auto-activate an email to the respective Referee to notify them to complete an online Referee Report. Do ask your Referee to look out for the email in inbox/ junk mail and complete it within 14 working days upon receipt. -You may check the status of your referee's submission via the application portal. Click on the “Recommendations Page” to send a reminder to your referee(s). |
| 8 | A brief research proposal A short write-up (approximately 2-3 pages in length) on the topic/idea that you wish to investigate/study if you are admitted into the programme. This document is expected to demonstrate the applicant’s research potential and motivation. If you are applying to more than one specialisation, submit a proposal for each specialisation. |

Important
- Note down the application number as you fill in the form. You will need this number for future enquiries or updates on your application.
- All academic documents not in English must be accompanied by official English translations. The translation can be done by the home university or any authorized parties. The translated documents must bear an original ink signature and seal.
- Ensure that the electronic documents are clear (PDF/JPEG format)
- Submission of application is fully digital--upload all electronic copies of your supporting documents to the system and do not send hard copies. You are not required to mail the GMAT/GRE/TOEFL/IELTS reports but you should keep the original copies for verification of documents upon successful admission.
- Submit only one application. Incomplete and late applications will be rejected.
Application Fees
Please pay the application fee after submission of the application. Refer to this link (HOW TO APPLY section) for the University's guidelines on fees. Applications that are not paid on time will be deemed invalid. Application fee payment is non-transferable and non-refundable.
Applications will be deemed invalid and will not be processed if payment is not made by the stipulated deadline and applicants will have re-submit a new application as a fresh applicant. No further notification will be sent.
Tuition Fees
The tuition fees and living allowance will be covered by the corresponding scholarship for the entire scholarship period. Students who are self-funding or externally funded will need to pay the tuition fees (refer to the non-subsidized fees column corresponding to Doctor of Philosophy, NBS), miscellaneous fees, etc.

Status of application
You can check the status of your application online.
The application outcome is communicated via email, typically between March and May. If you haven't received any updates yet, rest assured that the review process is ongoing. Admission offers are sent out at different times within the admission period.
Interview Period
For admission with NPGS, the interview period is usually in Dec until mid-Jan. For admission with RSS (or self-funding), the interview typically takes place from Jan until Feb/Mar. Only shortlisted candidates are contacted for interview.
