Overseas Immersion Segment

The International MBA (IMBA) programme distinguishes itself with its Overseas Immersion Segments, a transformative learning journey where students engage directly with global leaders, top corporations, and cutting-edge research institutions.

This experience equips students with real-world insights, leadership perspectives, and industry connections that extend far beyond the classroom.

Inside Google Singapore: IMBA 2025 Explores Innovation in Action

As part of their experiential learning curriculum, the IMBA 2025 cohort recently conducted an industry visit to Google Singapore, engaging directly with Google AI Solutions team and learning the latest AI development at Google.

The visit provided students with practical insights into innovation management, innovation culture, and innovation practices. Key discussions centered on Google's approach to fostering psychological safety and innovation philosophy, and real-world applications of cutting-edge technologies.

The visit concluded with a tour around Google campus, offering students a firsthand look at how the work environment is designed to support collaboration, creativity, and employee well-being.

Marina Barrage: Leading National Sustainability

At the Sustainable Singapore Gallery, IMBA 2025 students explored Singapore's approach to climate resilience and water self-sufficiency, examining how integrated policy, green urban planning, and circular economy practices create a sustainable city.

Beyond the environmental solutions, students learnt about the fundamentals driving sustainable development: innovation, long-term strategic planning, and public-private partnerships. These insights are essential for leaders seeking to balance commercial growth with environmental and social responsibility

IMBA 2024 & 2025: Strategic Insights from BMW and Vietjet Air in Vietnam

Our IMBA cohorts recently visited BMW and Vietjet Air in Ho Chi Minh City, with students from both the 2024 and 2025 classes connecting whilst exploring strategic operations.

At BMW, students examined differentiation strategy in action. Beyond observing how digitalisation and customer-centricity create premium brand identity, our students experienced it first-hand through test drives, understanding how BMW crafts every customer touchpoint to reinforce brand excellence.

At Vietjet Aviation Academy, the focus shifted to operational excellence. Through high-tech flight simulators and fuel-efficient technology, students witnessed how supply chain innovation and sustainability drive competitive advantage.

These visits bridged classroom frameworks with real-world execution, deepening our students' understanding of strategic leadership in Vietnam's dynamic market.

Building Connections Beyond the Classroom

The IMBA journey is not only about learning from world-class faculty and industry leaders, but also about forging meaningful connections with peers who share the same drive and mindset.

One highlight was a BBQ party generously hosted by an IMBA student, where classmates, professors and friends came together in a warm and informal setting.

Over good food and music, we drank, sang, laughed, and shared stories. These moments of joy and deep conversation created memories that go beyond the classroom. They offered fresh perspectives, helping us reshape our thinking and broaden our worldview.

This is the essence of the IMBA experience: a community that grows, learns and celebrates together.

What do our students say?

For many, the Overseas Immersion was not just about classes or company visits, it was a moment of discovery. Students came back with new ideas, deeper friendships, and memories that will last a lifetime. Here’s what IMBA students shared about their experience, in their own words:
